HOW TO VOID A CHECK

The following are the steps required to void a check:

1.  Select Accounts Payable from the Main Menu. Select Payments & Maint.

2.  Bring up the vendor.

    A list of  DUE payables is displayed in the bottom portion of
    the screen.  This is the default.  Change the list displayed by
    selecting ALL from the status drop down box.

    You can narrow your search by completing one of the selection
    boxes and selecting REFRESH.  Highlight the payable, and
    select Void Check.  The vendor name will be displayed at the top
    of the void check information box.

3.  Select the Bank number, and the Payable check number you are going
    to void.

4.  The check date, the payee and the check total will be displayed at
    the bottom of the screen. Verify the information, before you continue
    to void the check. If there is any question about the check that is
    being voided, you can view the check from this screen, prior to
    voiding the check.

5.  Select Void, the void payment date selection box will be displayed.
    You can select the date of the void transaction.

6.  There are two options:

    DO NOT SET THE PAYABLE UP FOR PAY, HOLD OR OFFLINE

    Click Set New Payment to uncheck the option, the payable will NOT
    be set up for pay, hold or offline. The payable money will be
    displayed in the balance due column on the payments and maintenance
    screen. Select OK. The message CHECK VOID COMPLETE will be
    displayed and the process is complete.

OR SET THE PAYABLE UP FOR PAY, HOLD OR OFFLINE

    Leaving Set New Payment checked, select the payment due date for the
    payable, bank account, and the payment status (pay, hold or offline)
    Select OK.  The message CHECK VOID COMPLETE will be
    displayed and the process is complete.
